Food is life…I know that sounds cheesy right? But it’s true. We have to start nourishing our bodies correctly, and really questioning what is being told to us about what is good and what is not good for our health. Because look around, we’re not a very healthy country. After my dad’s heart attack, I went into full research mode trying to figure out what is TRULY healthy and what is not. Why are we as Americans plagued with one of the highest rates of heart disease in the world? Why the high number in obesity? Why all the depression, and cancer, and…..boy, did I find out a lot!!
Now, I try to always cook my own meals and know where the food I’m eating is coming from, and that it’s not too far away. I always make sure it’s organic, raw, sprouted, grass-fed, free-ranged, cold pressed, pre-soaked, and I use real butter, and lots of Coconut Oil!
I’m your everyday girl, trying to do right, eat right, and learn all that I can about making my life better, healthy and whole. My approach to anything is wholesome with humor:) So enjoy your food, but most importantly, enjoy WHOLESOME REAL FOOD!
I really do take food and the direction our government is taking our country in, in terms of “healthy eating” very seriously. So I hope to shine a bright light on topics that some may not know about.
